The Age of Aquarius 2015-2016

The Age of Aquarius commenced in 1881 and the Aquarian age chart is a blueprint for living and the events and conditions that are the logical outcome of people living their lives. Aquarius stands for altruistic endeavor, progressive thinking, technological advancement and an ‘I know’ motivation that employs scientific methods to learn the facts of the matter. It’s not well known — many so-called astrologers still believe we are in the Age of Pisces — but according to Hermetic astrologers the Age of Aquarius commenced on January 19, 1881 at 8.56.42pm UT. And a chart constructed for any world capital reveals its influence on the country’s domestic agenda although the outstanding progressions in the chart at any time do have a worldwide, global influence.

Age of Aquarius — Washington: progressed to January 1, 2016

The chart’s dominant progressed aspect continues to be the equinox (at approximately 28 Aquarius 12) square (obstacle) progressed Pluto, which signs for the worst kinds of behavior — selfishness, destructive aggression and coercive control — and the events these behaviors perpetrate. At Washington Pluto is in house 11 so it’s safe to say that what’s wrong with America today is its Congress.

On September 29, 2015 progressed Moon in house 2 (finances and banks) moves to form a high-discord obstacle (square) with birthchart Pluto in house 11. The aspect will reach peak power and discord October 29 — and major Pluto events having a global impact will occur around this date. October is historically a bad month for share markets.

Then on November 13, 2015 progressed Moon in house 3 (communications and transportation) moves to form an intensity (parallel) aspect with progressed Pluto > peak date is February 3, 2016; on November 20, 2015 progressed Moon moves to form an obstacle (square) aspect with progressed Pluto > peak date is December 21, 2015; and on January 18, 2016 progressed Moon moves to form a parallel aspect with birthchart Pluto > peak date is April 9, 2016. This non-stop stimulation to Pluto from October 2015 to April 2016 signs for drastic events affecting the whole world.

In November 2013 progressed Venus moved to form a prominence (conjunction) aspect with progressed Saturn. The aspect will reach peak power and discord February 20, 2018. Venus has some influence over ready cash — the money that is spent on social fun, entertainment, clothes, cosmetics and the like. Saturn is the planet of economy — he’s a bargain hunter who wants to buy at the cheapest price — and if he gets frightened and greedy he just stops buying. The worst outcome when this occurs is recession. Of course those living in poverty have no money and their inability to buy makes them a burden on the global economy, which demands that you buy, buy, buy. Saturn rules debt, the mining and farming sectors and mining stocks. At Washington the Venus-Saturn conjunction is in house 11 — Congress.

In October 2014 progressed Sun moved to form an opportunity (sextile) aspect with birthchart Jupiter. The aspect will reach peak power and harmony on October 27, 2015. Jupiter is the planet of finances, financial institutions, banks, central banks, The World bank, currency values, trade, trading blocks, trade agreements, expansion, legal matters, courts, The World Court, religion, hope and optimism. Jupiter provides a religion and ethics report, a law report and a financial report.

In December 2014 progressed Sun moved to form an obstacle (square) aspect with birthchart Uranus. The aspect will reach peak power and discord on January 13, 2016. The Sun is the planet of politics, politicians, political policies and world leaders. He’s in charge of the show — the means by which those with elected political power take their constituents into the future. Uranus is the planet of discontentment, social unrest, strikes, protests, demonstrations, revolutions, extremism, extremists, radical action, freedom, liberty, reform, exposé, revelation and technology. The aspect marks for extremist politics and weird politicians with extreme agendas, political discontentment, anti-government sentiment, anti-government demonstrations; political exposés, unexpected political developments, sudden political changes, revolutions and uprisings. (If you’re a world watcher you’ll know the countries that are ripe for radical change as social unrest spills over into revolution. Lebanon is one.)

On the stock market the Sun rules gold stocks and Uranus rule technology stocks. Uranus stands for computer technology, computerized algorithms, high-frequency, lightning fast trading, smart machines analyzing the financial data and social media spreading the information. And the computers are detached (discordant Aquarius) from market fundamentals. The traders use algorithms and chaos theory to try and outsmart human intelligence. When the market plunges and then rises in seconds that’s Uranus. It’s the planet of shocks — the really big shocks that leave the viewing audience stunned and bewildered. At Washington progressed Sun is in house 12 (secret enemies, crime and criminals) and Uranus is in house 3 (private communications, transportation and neighboring countries.) Uranus is cusp ruler of house 9 (the internet.)

On October 9, 2015 progressed Moon moves to form an intensity (parallel) aspect with birthchart Uranus > peak date is January 1, 2016. This Moon progression will stimulate the Sun-Uranus square aspect and major events related to this aspect are timed to occur in the last quarter of 2015 and/or January 2016.

On July 1, 2015 progressed Jupiter moved to form a luck (trine) aspect with birthchart Uranus. This very fortunate energy merger between the planet of finances, currencies, banks and trade and the planet of technology and sensational developments will reach peak power and harmony January 17, 2020. And it probably has more surprises in its bag of tricks than you ever imagined. At Washington progressed Jupiter is in house 11 (Congress) and birthchart Uranus is in house 3 (communications and transportation.)

Age of Aquarius – Beijing: progressed to January 1, 2016

In the Beijing Aquarian age chart the equinox in house 2 (finances and banks) is square Pluto — the planet of drastic events and compulsory measures — in house 5 (the share market, speculation and children.) Progressed Moon is in house 8 (debt and taxes.)

Progressed Venus is conjunction progressed Saturn in house 4 (homes, housing, weather events and natural disasters.)

Progressed Sun in house 6 (labor and work) is sextile progressed Jupiter in house 5 (speculation and share market trading).

Progressed Sun in house 6 (labor and jobs) is square birthchart Uranus in house 9 (trade, public expression of opinion and internet.)

And progressed Jupiter in house 5 (the share market) is trine progressed Uranus in house 9 (trade, religion, internet and television.)

Pluto Period — progressed to January 1, 2016

Pluto was discovered by Clyde Tombaugh on February 18, 1930 at very close to 4.00pm MST (25N12; 111W39) and its discovery commenced the Pluto Period of the Aquarian Age. The time could have at least a ± one minute margin of error.

Pluto in the chart is in house 12 so its primary influence is through crime, criminal groups, clandestine activity, secret agendas, spying etc. But very little is known about the chart’s influence in global affairs and the role progressions play in timing Pluto events and developments. It’s presented because progressed MC has now moved to form a prominence (conjunction) aspect with birthchart and progressed Pluto in house 12 and both aspects will reach their peak power and discord in the second half of 2015.

Lower-Pluto expresses thoughts and feelings of the lowest grade and the people expressing these thoughts are identified as Lower-Pluto’s henchmen. You will know them as ISIL, dictators, plutocrats, suicide bombers, autocrats, corporate dictators, criminals, drug traffickers, the perpetrators of mass atrocity crimes and atheists.

United Nations — progressed to January 1, 2016

The United Nations came into being on October 24, 1945 at 4.45pm EST — Washington (38N53; 77W01). The data comes from Elbert Benjamine.

The United Nations has a tough job. It has to maintain the peace, deal with security issues, attend to humanitarian crises and generally keep 196 countries behaving in a more or less civilized manner. And the Sun in house 7 indicates the powerful role the organization is destined to play in world affairs. Alas the Sun is square cruel and harsh Mars and selfish and greedy Saturn in house 4 so it has an enormous task keeping these destructive tendencies in check.

In August 2005 progressed Jupiter — the planet of finances — moved to form a high-discord square aspect with birthchart Saturn. This aspect reached its peak discord in June 2013 and will end September 19, 2022.

Pluto — the planet of drastic developments and humanitarian crises — is in house 5 (the share market) and in March 2014 progressed Sun — the cusp ruler of house 5 — moved to form an expansion (inconjunct) aspect with progressed Pluto > peak date was March 7, 2015; and in August 2014 progressed Sun moved to form an expansion (inconjunct) aspect with birthchart Pluto > peak date was August 15, 2015.

On October 17, 2015 progressed Sun moves to form an obstacle (square) aspect with birthchart Jupiter in house 6 (employees — the UN workers stationed around the globe). The aspect reaches its peak discord October 9, 2016.

The United Nations runs on money paid it by member countries and this money goes to finance its activities and pay its employees and in 2016 the UN will have a financial crisis. Jupiter is the planet of benevolence so it seems that member countries, suffering financial and economic problems, will also be suffering benevolence fatigue.

2016-2017 are shaping up as tough years for the UN. Progressed MC in house 12 is trine (luck) progressed Saturn in house 4 — but it signs for suffering and hardship (Saturn) in the war torn countries — and with progressed Mercury moving to form a square aspect with progressed MC and an opposition aspect with birthchart Moon the organization will struggle to fulfill its obligations to the common people (Moon) and this will result in criticism and controversy (Mercury).
